Z Set To Join James In Miami

Former Cavalier Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas has elected to join former Cavs star Lebron James in Miami. Unlike “The Soulless One”, Z did it with the expected grace of someone who is truly grateful for what the NBA and the team he played forgave him. Z will sign a 2 year deal for the veteran’s minimum, $2.8 million over the life of the deal. The 2nd year of the deal is reportedly a player option.

It is unknown how much big Z has left in the tank. He had a bad year stats wise as he was made a bench player when Cleveland traded for Shaq. He was then traded for Antawn Jamison at the deadline, sat out the required time, re-signed with the Cavs and had a moving return to the Cavs. Unfortunately, he never got back into a rhythm, falling out of the rotation in the playoffs.

I wish Z nothing but the best. He will forever be a true Cleveland Cavalier.

I would really wish that the people of cleveland and the newspapers that are bashing lebron stop. Clearly this city believe that this man HAD to stay. FREE AGENT means he can go to any team.

Next time, Mr. Gilbert will invest in his team instead of his wallet.

Big Z has alot left in his tank and I pray that he gets an ring with the heat.

The other big difference between Z and MeBron? Z could realistically say he had a better chance of winning by leaving. MeBron cannot. He could have built a dynasty here by simply signing long term.

Well, Phillip, first, thanks for reading my story, I hope you come back. 2nd, I hope z gets a ring to. To bad lebron would get one to then! Lebron has the right to do whatever he wants. True, however, he does owe us the fans a little class and respect. He has the RIGHT, to do anything he wants to, even if what he wants to do us destroy his reputation. In the end, I wish he stayed, but I really wished he left with the same class that z left with. Lebron began the process with the chance to be the best ever, ended it being a footnote in history at best.
