If you are a Cavaliers fan you know the familiar voice of Cleveland’s play by play guy Joe Tait. He can be heard calling every Cavaliers games, and has been for the past 38 years. He’s seen the good and the bad, players come and go but he has never seen anything like what LeBron James did.
“It was an embarrassment to everyone involved — the league, ESPN, LeBron, everyone. Making it worse, they didn’t even know it was an embarrassment.” Tait said in a recent interview.
Joe is known for telling it like it is, whether its a bad call by a ref, or a stupid play by a player or a coach. Tait doesn’t usually hold back, which makes it fun to listen to. Often times at home the TV is on mute and the radio is turned up to listen to the game.
Tait had publicly stated that he thought LeBron would and should stay in Cleveland.
Following the letter sent by Cavs owner Dan Gilbert, Tait said “It was great! Outstanding! He said what a lot of people felt. I understand, because I felt the same way. A lot of people did. I give him credit for saying it.”
With the changes coming to Cleveland, it’s good to know that we can still hear a familiar voice exclaiming “Have a good night everybody!”

I read a story that said lebron never spoke to Joe tait. I hope that’s untrue
